Our annual winery event, Art in the Vineyard, was perhaps the best so far. Not only did the weather cooperate, blessing us with sunshine and warmth, but the variety of art work was outstanding.
The Artists
From professionally trained artists, to self-taught, there were canvases of great appeal … something for everyone’s taste and pocket book.
This is Variety … Fun, too!
Wood-turned art, lampwork beads, jewellery, mixed media, handwoven textiles, photography, chainmail, hand-made & hand-painted items made from discarded materials, tie-dyed clothing, decoratively adorable clay owls, pollinating bee habitats, and photo chalk boards were all on display, too,
Also available for purchase were pure Ontario honey, jams & jellies, vegan granola, & fair-trade coffee.
And when we really got hungry, gourmet grilled cheese sandwiches, Argentinian empanadas and chorizo sausages were on hand.
A lovely musician with a great voice, Sandra Dam, helped to create a charming atmosphere.

Author Kara Bartley had her Paleotales books available for summer reading … Egyptian mystery anyone?
Looking Ahead
